The Bison, Restaurant & Lounge Enjoy Rocky Mountain comfort food in the heart of Banff! Located within The Bison Courtyard, the Bison features locally grown, sustainably-farmed protein and produce and majestic mountain views. We are a multi-venued establishment, catering to groups of 2 to 150. The elegantly rustic dining room is open for dinner 7 days a week and an all-day brunch is available on weekends. The second floor patio is a sun-drenched oasis with a bird's eye view of Banff's sweeping scenery. After being closed for renovations, our street level General Store has reopened, expanded and has a new name - the Bison Lounge. Along with our famous sandwiches, delectable cheese and specialty meat trays, there are many other house specialties that are sure to please. Sandwiches to go are available or plan to dine in and check out the newly renovated space. The Slow Food movement is central to our goals at The Bison. Slow food, at its heart, is about supporting local, sustainable and organic farming practices. The movement is also about bringing pleasure back to the table, celebrating food as a central aspect in our everyday lives. In the spirit of the Courtyard's vision, The Bison, Restaurant & Lounge has reclaimed Douglas Fir throughout its décor. In addition, we have undertaken various other environmental initiatives, and are continually striving towards ecological balance.
