Botega Salon & Gallery

The summer promises to be an exciting one at the Willock & Sax Gallery.

On August 7, join Tom and Susan at the Gallery for Banff Culture Walk and an afternoon filled with artist demonstrations. Featuring painter R. Fern Langemann, author Robert Sandford, printmaker D. Helen Mackie and visual artist Maureen Enns, there truly is something for everyone. Refreshments served. 1:00-4:00 pm.

Banff Ideas Bank

Banff Ideas Bank, formed to aid and encourage the general public to generate fresh ideas and increase participation in community, problem solving processes, will be hosting its first event - Conversation Cafe - on Wednesday July 7, 7:00-9:00 pm at the Wild Flour Bakery. The July conversation will explore various aspects of the creative process with a special emphasis on community creativity. Is Banff a creative community? How do we build a truly creative community - one that can survive and prosper in this emerging age?

Conversation Cafes scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month.

Banff Culture Weekend

On the weekend of August 7th and 8th, the streets of Banff will come alive with arts and culture. Banff Culture Weekend combines three heritage events: Cinema Under the Stars, Banff Culture Walk, and Doors Open Banff.

This annual event is an opportunity for visitors and locals to explore the area's most interesting art galleries, museums, heritage properties and cultural attractions.

Banff Culture Weekend is open to everyone and most events are free. A complete schedule is available online at www.banffculturewalk.com. An information table will also be set up at Bison Coutyard on both days of Banff Culture Weekend.
